Cheep & ChiChi Retires

I’ve recently decided that I want to re-focus my blogging and ‘Cheep & ChiChi,’ while I’ve enjoyed it immensely, no longer quite fits what I have in mind. I’ll be leaving the blog up for anyone who might like to see the archive (and for my own nostalgia!) but, after today, it won’t be updated.

Falling Embers

Just stopping by to showcase these gorgeous lashes by no.7 available at L’accessoires until December 8th.. they include a colour-change HUD with 4 metal and 8 gem colour options and I think they are absolutely stunning!

This was also another opportunity for me to buy some more of my favourite DECO hair – I love the way it works with COCO‘s doll avatar and I’m kinda pleased with the way this pic turned out in general – if you’d like to see a much bigger version just give it a click as the blog layout does tend to make things pretty small.

Working Nine to Phive

These Phunky Monkeys designed by MadPea are here to take you away from the boring rat race and bring you a whole barrel load of fun!

Most can be attached to your avatar and are delightfully animated to walk alongside you, look around or do other adorable things. ‘Charlie Chimplan‘ also has a lot to say for himself.. and is freakin’ hysterical!

They can be found at the fabulous Cirque de Seraphim – a fundraising event for the ASPCA jam packed with the cutest circus-themed items evah! A portion from all exclusives made for the event benefits the chosen charity (voted for by Seraphim readers) and you can also donate directly via booths scattered around the two sims. Seraphim are keeping track of the money raised here.

MadPea is sponsoring the event and have also created 3 exclusive items of which 50% of all sales go to benefit the ASPCA – see those items (and the full range of monkeys!) over on the MadPea blog. Also, you can read more about the event, and see the full line-up, over on Seraphim.

Cirque de Serphim is open until November 26th so be sure to make the most of this last week and grab yourself some circus-y goodness!

And I Feel Fine

It’s the end of the world as we know it..

Genre has started a new round and, this time, the theme is Post Apocalyptic. Chariot‘s contribution are these fabulous scavenged breastplates – they are modifiable so I had no trouble fitting them to my shape and the textures are exquisite, as always. There are three versions available: ‘Unstoppable‘ (pictured), ‘No Entry‘ and ‘Diverted‘ – they cost just L$50 each or you can buy all three for L$100. The round is open until December 12th and is packed full of incredible items so be sure to hop on over!

I also want to mention this androgynous ‘Jahne Doe‘ skin by Deluxe Body Factory because I am utterly in love with it! It’s one of the prizes in MadPea’s latest interactive hunt/game, Blood Letters. A modifiable shape is also included but I used my own because I really like the way it looks on my current face shape.

Blood Letters is an unusual and compelling murder-mystery game that unfolds a little bit each day. You need a HUD to play (costs L$400) which allows you to pick up clues – you receive prizes at the rate of one a day (if you miss a day, don’t worry – you can go back along the time line, you just can’t skip ahead) and then a bunch more at the end; they have all been stunning so far (you’ll have to wait a little longer for this skin as the story hasn’t reached that location yet.) I’ve been playing along and it really is a lot of fun with a great sense of community in the MadPea group as we all try to solve the case! The game runs until November 30th and the starting point is here; full instructions on how to play can be found over at the MadPea blog. The experience is most definitely adult-orientated so I would recommend making sure you are comfortable with the themes before taking part.

Today is the last day of the Mystic Realms Faire so you have just enough time (I hope) to swoop over and grab this amazing and beautifully-crafted crown by Chariot which was the inspiration behind today’s outfit. There are more fab goodies to be found in sian’s stall and the fair in general is stunning, so, if you haven’t already done so and you have some free time today, I really recommend you taking this final opportunity to visit.

I’ve been playing around with PicMonkey‘s newest comic book features and I like the dramatic way this turned out – particularly the dot shading on the skin (which is a beautiful L$70 bargain by Swallow currently found at The Dressing Room Fusion.) I really enjoy working on photos like this when I get the chance but I still appreciate how beautiful the items are on their own –  scroll down past the credits if you would like to see the unedited shot.

LOTD ~ 10-22-14: Dem Bones

I love this time of year and everywhere I turn people seem to be releasing the cutest things; there are loads of free and cheap items popping up all over the place. My dress is a new free-to-join group gift from COCO – and I absolutely love it – it’s just so sexy (with side slits you can’t see in this photo) yet casual and it’s going to be a while before I take it back off! The incredibly detailed collar is a new VIP gift from Remarkable Oblivion. This group costs L$50 to join but there are a whole bunch of amazing gifts available for such a tiny price.

The super-cute hair with eyeball bows is by LaViere and can be found at Trunk or Treat – this colour is from the red fatpack, which is totally free, and I think I remember the other packs only being priced at L$80 each. A HUD to change the colour of the bows is also included. Trunk or Treat is a kid-friendly event but there is plenty for adults to enjoy too – most carts seem to have a freebie and it’s a lovely little market to look around – it ends on November 5th, so be sure to visit before then.

I’m also totally in love with this skin by 7 Deadly s{K}ins, which can be found at a discounted price at the fab Feeb’s Rascal’s St. Sales Room – the colouring is just beautiful, especially on this freckled version.

Finally, Ricielli is having another hunt to say goodbye to their old store as they refurbish.. there are 20 gorgeous, and generous, prizes available – including a fatpack of these stunning shoes – all for just L$15 each.
